Simply Creative : A Variety of Random, Artistic, and Creative Works: Occasionally, I go through periods in which I am suddenly interested in a particular subject that strikes my fancy. It's usually a short-lived fascination, but one often inspired by seeing pictures taken by others on various photographic forums. Obviously, you'll see that one evening I was enthralled with the various shapes that smoke forms as it rises from a candle; during another period it was eyes, and another having to do with snow/ice. You never know! Usually it happens after I've been so busy with family and work that there has been no time for photography, and I feel the need to shoot something........ANYthing. LOL

About CDPayet Photography : My Dad, whom I admire for many reasons, was my initial inspiration for picking up a camera in the early 1990's, although the bug didn't truly bite until I finally went digital with a Canon Digital Rebel in early 2004. Beginning with photographic documentation of my dentistry, inspired especially by Dr. Ross Nash, then moving into portraiture with inspiration from Dr. Tony Soileau and Dr. Michael Barr, and finally realizing the freedom that digital provided, I have slowly evolved from a rank amateur to the dental and photographic professional of today. I've been blessed to be part of TWO professions that are making leaps and bounds forward with technology, and the power of digital photography is only growing. The simple power of the picture, instantly captured and displayed, to improve and enhance the doctor-patient trust relationship, is far greater than most realize. The power of portraiture to give patients with a new smile that look they've always wished they had......talk about rewarding! And to capture the amazing beauty of this world on which we live, to show it to others in ways they have never before seen or imagined, is a true pleasure. Since early 2007, I have been inspired by many amazing photographers, both within dentistry and within the professional photographic world, and have therefore stretched my wings into creative macro, landscape, and portrait arenas. Photography, like dentistry, is truly an art of communication, and while it might not seem apparent at first glance, they really share a common goal: uplifting the human spirit through personal care. In dentistry, my team and I care for the dental health of our patients; in photography, the artistic muse in me hopes to touch the soul of the viewer and let them see the amazing beauty in the world around us.

Dental Photograpy, Marketing Dentistry, Dental Office Posters : Photo-Editing and Internal Marketing Materials Creation for Dentists If you already have a set of pictures that you want to use for a movie-loop in your reception area, operatories, perhaps for patient education purposes, perhaps a Flash gallery for your webstite, you can send me a set of pictures you want included, a copy of your logo, and pertinent details, and I will create a personalized program just for your office. Below you will see some examples of the types of wall posters that can be created - each one highlights an individual story to give a personal connection. I do highly recommend that these be autographed by the patient - it's a truly powerful testimonial! The examples you see here are sized at 24" x 36", so they are imposing and really grab the eye of even a casual observer. The actual image size is 20" x 30", and the white border allows for custom matting and framing, or it can be trimmed away. Caroline C : Caroline has to be one of our absolute favorite patients, to tell the truth. As you can tell from her smile, she is just incredibly bubbly and cheerful and outgoing, so she was a delight to work with. When she first came to see us, though, while just as outgoing and cheerful, she really did NOT like her smile! In fact, she was referred to us because she wanted her smile fixed to help her in her modeling career. As you can see in her Before picture (coming soon), she had what are called "peg laterals," meaning that the second tooth from the top front on each side was too small; just like the description, they looked a bit like pegs. In addition, they were turned and angled; combined with the uneven lower teeth, she felt quite self-conscious. We spent some time talking about the different options, including Six-Month Braces, Porcelain Veneers, Teeth Whitening; eventually, we realized she would need a combination of all 3 to reach her goal of a beautiful smile with a reasonable budget. Besides, she didn't like the idea of having all her top front teeth shaped for veneers. We ended up starting her Smile Makeover with Six-Month Braces on both top and bottom teeth; her case actually took a bit longer (about 7 months, I think) because she really wanted to get it as perfect as possible. After that, she whitened her teeth, and just recently, we did 2 "No-Prep/No Drill" Porcelain Veneers with our CEREC CAD/CAM system, with which we can make all-porcelain crowns, onlays, and veneers in just 1 visit. She was thrilled when we finished and she looked in the mirror the first time! I felt like such a dunce, though.....she did an amazing little video testimonial about her experience in our office, but I realized afterwards I had not hit the "Record" button hard enough and completely missed it! Oh well. Her smile in these portraits really says it all, though, don't you think? And somehow I'm guessing her smile will be a tremendous asset in her modeling, based on these photos from the Complimentary Portrait Session that is included with every SmilesbyPayet Smile Makeover, whether with Six-Month Braces or Cosmetic Dentistry.
